Nestled on the eastern coast of Bohol, White Beach in Anda is a serene haven with white sands and calm waters. Lined with towering palm trees, this beach offers a peaceful retreat away from the crowds in Bohol.
Whether you want to relax under the shade of a palm tree, witness an epic sunset in a serene environment, or explore the nearby caves and natural pools, White Beach in Bohol is an unforgettable destination.

Complete Guide to White Beach in Bohol
White Beach in Bohol is known for its clean white sand and is the best spot in Anda for sunsets. We visited in the evening and the beach was nearly empty, except for a few kids and local fishermen.
A few resorts line the beach, so if you’re hungry after enjoying the sunset you can wander into one of the resorts to get dinner at a restaurant.

How to Get to White Beach in Bohol
Location: White Beach – Google Maps
White Beach is in the town of Anda on the island of Bohol in the Philippines. It’s a 10-minute drive from Anda’s center.
The map location that I linked above for White Beach is accurate. The road to White Beach was not paved when we visited in May 2024, but it was easily doable on a motorbike.
Along the road, you may be stopped by an environmental fee collector. If you already paid your environmental fee at any other beach in Anda, show them your receipt and they will let you pass through. Otherwise, the fee is 30 pesos per person.
At the end of the road, you’ll ride up to Anda White Beach Resort, and there is free parking for White Beach on the road next to the resort.

White Beach: Our Experience
After a long day of adventuring around Bohol, we decided to finish off the day at White Beach in Anda to enjoy the sunset.
The trail down to White Beach was a short 2-minute walk and in decent shape. It goes directly to the beach from the road.
Upon stepping foot on the beach, the first thing that we noticed was its clean white sand. It was much different than nearby Quinale Beach in Anda, which has a lot of debris along the shoreline.
The beach wasn’t crowded at all. We nearly had the entire area to ourselves! Pretty spectacular for a sunset on the beach. There were a few clouds in the sky so the sun created beautiful hues of pink and purple as it dipped below the hills in the west.

We explored the shoreline and found a few children happily playing in the shallow water. They excitedly yelled “Konnichiwa!” at Chloe, which I got a huge kick out of. The locals in the Philippines always know that Chloe is half Japanese, but never can tell she is half Filipino too!

As it got dark, we ran into some locals standing in the water digging for shellfish. It reminded us of the relationship that the locals have with the sea, and that fishing for dinner is all in a day’s work.

Is Visiting White Beach Worth it?
Visiting White Beach is worth it if you’re looking for a relaxed beach environment free of crowds.
There are also resorts lining the beach, so you have options to grab a meal at a restaurant or stay in the area if you want to spend an extended time at White Beach. We personally enjoyed grabbing dinner at The Old Plantation Restaurant at Island View Beachfront Resort.

However, we would not recommend spending all day at White Beach since you might get bored. White Beach isn’t great for swimming as its waters are shallow but it’s perfect to hang out for a couple of hours to enjoy the sunset.
Looking for more things to do around Anda? Cabagnow Cave Pool is near White Beach and is the perfect place to cool off in an underground pool.

What to Pack for Bohol
Here are some of our must-have items you might not have thought of when packing for a trip to Bohol.
- Crocs: During our time in Bohol, I was so glad to have Crocs to protect my feet when exploring rocky terrain and chasing waterfalls. They are the ultimate shoe in the Philippines for a reason – many Filipinos wear them too!
- Snorkel: With all the amazing snorkeling spots in Bohol, it helps to have your own snorkel set like this one if you plan to do some underwater activities! Plus, you won’t need to worry about renting a snorkel, which may be of… questionable quality.
- Sunscreen: For some reason, sunscreen is expensive in the Philippines and I’ve even encountered places selling fake sunscreen that doesn’t work! So I recommend bringing your own sunscreen to Bohol.
- Dry Bag: With all the sand, salt, and water flying everywhere during our adventures, I was so glad to have a dry bag to keep all my things safe from the elements!
- Travel Towel: In my opinion, a travel towel like this one is super necessary for a trip to Bohol! It packs down nicely and was there for me anytime I went swimming, or just needed to brush sand or dirt off.

Sunscreen is not common there because it damages coral and is not recommanded if not simply forbidden. So better choose between sunbathing and swimming but not both.
